Space

The Space Discipline (D-SPACE) develops the national strategy for the standardization of the space sector and participates in the development of European and international strategies. It is composed of two standardization commissions: the CN SSO dedicated to space systems and operations, and the CN APP dedicated to space applications, in line with the France-led development of the new WG8 at ISO in 2023 on downstream aspects.

The CN SSO covers, in the civil and defence context, the development and implementation of space and suborbital systems, space information and data transfer systems and their interoperability.

CN APP - Space Applications

CN APP - Space Applications

The CN APP covers the use of satellite systems for applications (i.e. transport). It deals in particular with the evaluation of the performance of on-board positioning systems and the associated tests.
