Note 1 to entry: the first edition of an FACI, called initial FACI, corresponds to the manufacture of a first part in accordance with its definition and using series manufacturing processes. It is comparable to the FAI (first article inspection) of EN 9102.

Note 2 to entry: The final FACI qualifies the production system in its production phase at the required serial rates.
